"The Crown" Season 2 will be back with a royal debut on its 2017 season at Netflix. In the meantime, the British Royal drama starring Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth II is a big winner in the 74th Golden Globe Awards On January 8, 2017. The series had been awarded as the Best Drama Series, while Foy garnered the Best Actress Award. Presently, "The Crown" Season 2 is filming in several locations in England, in London particularly.

According to TVLine, the series first season covered the story of Britain's great monarch of the present time in her early reign after the war until 1955. The second season will take off from 1955 to 1964. Peter Morgan who is the show's creator shared that this season will bring into the fore the Suez Canal Crisis and the socio-cultural challenges of the 1960s.

 "The Crown" Season 2 as revealed by Gamenguide is anticipated to be shown for five seasons by Netflix. In the third season, the casts including Foy and Matt Smith who is playing Prince Phillip will be replaced so as to fit to the queen and his husband's age in real life. The queen is still strong at her present age of 90 years.

"The Crown" Season 2 also stars John Lithgow who is playing the role of Sir Winston Churchill. Additionally, Vanessa Kirby plays as Princess Margaret, Jared Harris as King George and Victoria Hamilton as the mother of Queen Elizabeth.
