Super Junior’s Kyuhyun Says Goodbye Before Military Service

Super Junior's Kyuhyun said that fans would be able to enjoy seeing artists from SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment together in tvN's "New Journey to the West 3."

The 28-year-old singer-actor revealed Wednesday during the press conference for the new season of tvN's travel-reality show that he enjoyed working with Song Min Ho, an artist from a rival company.

"I'm here as the spokesperson for SM Entertainment," allkpop quoted Kyuhyun as saying. "I had fun filming with people from YG, whom you can call our rivals. You'll be able to see SM and YG coming together."

The 23-year-old rapper and member of YG's boy group WINNER praised the SM artist.

"When I was first offered to join the cast, SM and YG meeting [on the show] didn't come to my mind. I was really nervous because my group WINNER does not go on variety shows often but I was able to enjoy filming because hyung-nim led the way and made it more comfortable," said Song Min Ho.

Cast members Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won and Ahn Jae Hyun also joined the two artists in promoting the show's new season.

The show's PD even revealed that Kyuhyun ended up playing a different role from what he was originally casted for.

Kyuhyun also admitted that he had no idea what they filmed but still encouraged fans to watch the show.

"But I know that the power of editing is strong," he said.

Kyuhyun is expected to be among the male celebrities who'll be entering military duty this year.

Song Min Ho, on the other hand, was recently praised by netizens for his lyrics and wordplay on the song "Shoot!" with Haha on "Infinite Challenge." Some fans even compared him to the talented Korean-Canadian rapper Tablo.

Fans also speculated that Song Min Ho unfollowed WINNER ex-member Nam Tae Hyun after being cropped out of an Instagram photo that the latter posted.
