Actor Park Bo Gum revealed the acting roles he'd like to take part of as the new year opens up to the popular star.

Park Bo Gum took a break from his busy schedule for a quick interview where he shared his affinity to teen romance and music.

The 23-year-old actor enjoyed soaring popularity with the KBS' romantic coming-of-age series "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" also known as "Love in the Moonlight" where he played the bright and mischievous crown prince with a passion for arts and music in the historical romantic-comedy drama.

Park Bo Gum revealed that he still looks forward to playing more teen roles and would even like to incorporate music into his work. He added, however, that he'd like to put on normal clothes for his next roles for a change.

"If I get a chance, I would like to try as many characters as possible," the actor told Soompi in an interview. "I want to try teen romance, before I get too old. Since I wore many beautiful hanboks in "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds," how about I show the beauty of Korean school uniforms in my next project? (laugh) And I want to try a music-inspired project, like the film "Begin Again" or "Sing Street."

He added that he currently listens to Big Bang's latest track "Last Dance" and thanked his international fans for their support as he resumes his "2016-2017 Park Bo-gum Asia Tour Fan Meeting" in Jakarta on January 13.

His next stop would be in Taiwan on January 22, Bangkok on February 11, and Singapore on February 18.

The young Hallyu star ended 2016 by taking home the Male Top Excellence Award at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards for his performance in "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds."

Park Bo Gum's emotional acceptance speech made actor Song Joong Ki cry as he thanked the "Descendants of the Sun" star for his mentorship.
