"Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" PC version will now become a reality very soon. The producer of the "Final Fantasy XIII" series confirms this news through social media.

"Lightning Returns" is the third part of the "Final Fantasy XIII" series, which has become very popular in the PS3 and Xbox 360 days. The first two parts of the series, which are "Final Fantasy XIII" and "Final Fantasy XIII-2" have already been ported successfully to the PC. It was a matter of time for "Lighting Returns" to follow suit.

The upcoming game will be released for the PC platform in December, according to Gematsu.

"We're currently applying the finishing touches and it will take a little more time until it's complete," said Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy XIII producer, on Twitter. "As it stands, we should be able to release it around December."

"We apologize for making you wait longer, as we previously said that it will release sometime in fall," the producer continued. "We'll have an announcement once more details are available."

It seems the game was supposed to be launched on the PC platform in fall 2015, but this announcement makes it a little longer, according to Siliconera.

What this all means is the whole "Final Fantasy XIII" trilogy will now be ported over to the PC. "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII" PC version finally concluded the whole trilogy story. The game was released at first in 2014 for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 consoles, according to Attackofthefanboy. The game had a unique gameplay system compared to the other two because players were on a time limit.

PC gamers will finally have the chance to complete the story after playing the first two games. The last one ended in a cliffhanger, according to fans. Moreso, some speculate that other games under the franchise will be ported eventually.
