Speculations Arise After YG Announces WINNER's Nam Taehyun's Hiatus

After YG Entertainment announced that Nam Tae Hyun will halt his activities as a WINNER member due to mental health issues, fans and netizens believe that there are more to the story, allkpop wrote.

According to many fans, Nam Tae Hyun had been drifting apart from his group for a while and that there are other reasons behind his hiatus. Fans claim that it has been a long time since the idol has stayed at WINNER's dormitory or was seen hanging out with his fellow members. There were also photos on social media that showed Nam Tae Hyun separated from the other WINNER members at various events, proof that he may not be in good terms with the members.

Also, the idol has been reportedly releasing his self-composed tracks on SoundCloud even though there is no confirmation regarding WINNER's comeback yet. There's also rumors that his SoundCloud song titled "Who Cares" may be pertaining to his separation from the group.

The lyrics of the song goes, "Farewell. Don't act sad. There's no regret. You feel the same. I don't care. Nothing's forever. I'm alone anyway, so let's sing. Shut up. I don't hear whatever you're saying. I'll take care of myself. I don't care. I'll be thrown away even if I try to include myself. Let's just scream."

On October 12, YG Entertainment announced Nam Tae Hyun's hiatus as a member of WINNER due to mental health issues that he has been going through since his trainee days, shocking everyone. The entertainment agency also stated that WINNER's comeback will be delayed.

The label stated, "It is a disappointing situation that the timing for WINNER's next activity cannot be anticipated. YG hopes the WINNER members successfully overcome the team's first crisis, and we will be doing our best so that they can take off once again."

Currently, Nam Tae Hyun is staying with his family and receiving treatment.
