Apple fans everywhere are anxious as to what might come next in the company's device releases, with tablet aficionados specifically desperate for any signs of the next iPad Pro device surfacing.

According to reports on the Internet, there are currently two timeframes believed to be the likeliest for any iPad Pro 2 launch based on the launch date of both versions of the original iPad Pro. The first iPad Pro launch back in September of last year, featuring a 12.9" long version larger than all pervious iPad models. The Cupertino-based tech giant then followed up with another version of the iPad Pro in March of this year, this time releasing a smaller 9.7" tablet with added capabilities.

Because of the above, the rumors surrounding a possible iPad Pro 2 launch suggests a similar timeframe to either of the iPad Pro version's launches. A March release date is currently more believed to be likely considering September is already right around the corner. No sign of anything about the iPad Pro 2 came in June's Worldwide Developer's Conference, further straining any prospects of the device arriving in September.

Despite the above, it should be noted that September will still feature Apple's annual special event so the idea of the device showing up within the month is still not completely off the table. Apple could simple use the event, to be held on Sept. 30, to announce the iPad Pro 2 with a release following in sometime in the autumn season or the holidays. The next iPhone version, the iPhone 7, is strongly believed to be showing up at the event so the iPad Pro 2's launch could also take place alongside that.

Apple Insider reported last month of alleged images of the iPad Pro 2 showing up. The images were sent from within the Asian sector of Apple's device manufacturing chain, specifically from a company in China. The model number of the device shown was MH1C2CD/F, which the publication notes has not been used to any previous iPad models. This suggests that the tablet within the images might very well be the iPad Pro 2, or at least a brand new version of the iPad line.

Strengthening the possibility is the fact that the model number also follows standard identifying conventions for Apple, though it should be noted that forging a model number is not at all that difficult. If the images are authentic however, then it only furthers the prospect of the iPad Pro 2 launching soon.
