Bolt Wins 200 Meters Gold: 'Triple-Triple' is Near at Hand
Bolt Wins 200 Meters Gold and his overwhelming victory reconfirms once again his rightful place in the pantheon of Olympic greats.
Triple-Triple
After winning the 200 Meters gold, his eighth Olympic medal, Bolt's attempt to get Triple-Triple gold in Sprint record is close to becoming reality. He would be the frist Olympian to do a gold sweep of all three sprint titles at three successive Olympics: 2008 Beijing, 2012 London and 2016 Rio.
Bolt's 200 meter gold victory obliterated his rivals as per usual leaving them far behind as he crossed the finish line in 19.78 seconds.
Jamaican sensation
The Jamaican sensation did his world famous lightning bolt pose satisfying fans both in the stadium and worldwide. Everybody knows they are witnessing a once-in-a lifetime athlete.
A loud chorus of "Usain Bolt! Usain Bolt! Usain Bolt!" filled Bolt's ears as did his lap of honor while the Brazilian and Jamaican flags were draped on his shoulders.
The Greatest
"I don't need to prove anything else. What else can I do to prove to the world I am the greatest?" the 29-year-old sprinter said according to CNN report.
No one is contesting Bolt's claim not even his rivals.
"I am trying to be one of the greatest. Be among Muhammad Ali and Pele. I hope after these Games I will be in that bracket," Bolt further added to CNN.
