The Flash' Rogues gallery is about to get bigger as another prominent and historical villain has been cast by The CW in the network's superhero series of the same name, with the infamous Mirror Master set to appear in the third season of "The Flash."

The actor who will play the supervillain with a penchant for refractory devices is none other than Grey Damon, Comic Book Resources reported. It is not yet known just how prominent Mirror Master will be, though reports indicate that Damon will make his appearance the season's fourth episode.

Prior to being cast in "The Flash," Damon's biggest claim to fame is as Hastings Ruckle in the fifth and final season of NBC's "Friday Night Lights." Damon also currently stars as Detective Brian Schafe in the ongoing "Aquarius," another series on NBC. On The CW, Damon has previously appeared on the short-lived speculative fiction romance series "Star-Crossed," where he played Grayson Montrose.

As for the character, the specific Mirror Master that Grey Damon will play is the original Sam Scudder version of the character. The official character description from Warner Bros. TV reads:

"One of the Flash's most infamous Rogues, Sam Scudder -- aka Mirror Master -- is a smooth criminal with a huge ego. Upon discovering he now has the power to travel through any reflective surface, Scudder embarks on a massive crime spree to prove himself the greatest thief that Central City has ever seen."

Despite being one of the most famous of The Flash' stable of "Rogues," Mirror Master has been conspicuously absent from the lice action series' prior seasons. For the third season, Mirror Master will be joining the likes of Captain Cold, played by Wentworth Miller; Heatwave, played by Dominic Purcell; Captain Boomerang, played by Nick Tarabay across his appearances even on "Arrow;" Golden Glider, Captain Cold's sister played by Peyton List; and the Pied Piper, who is apparently now allies with the hero and played by Andy Mientus.

Despite being The Flash' Rogues, the villains are not actually used with prominence in the series with the arc-villain of each season instead both being adaptations of the Reverse Flashes for the past two seasons. However, each of the Rogues have had reoccurring appearances on the series, with Captain Cold and Heatwave eventually moving onto becoming main characters of the "Flarrow" universe spinoff "Legends of Tomorrow."

Catch Grey Damon as Mirror Master when "The Flash" season 3 begins Tuesday, October 4.
