Jay Z New Song 'Spiritual' Addresses Police Brutality
Jay Z dropped his first new track since 2013's "Magna Carta... Holy Grail" album on Thursday. The song, "Spiritual" addresses police brutality after a wave of fatal incidents in Louisiana and Minnesota.
"I made this song a year or so ago, I never got to finish it," Jay Z said in a statement released with the new track. "I'm saddened and disappointed in THIS America -- we should be further along. WE ARE NOT."
"I trust God and know everything that happens is for our greatest good, but man... it's tough right now," he added. "Blessings to all the families that have lost loved ones to police brutality."
The track can be heard on Tidal and is available to everyone, even without a subscription.
