Song Hye-kyo Praises Song Joong-ki in China Fan Meeting

South Korean stars, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye-kyo reunited on stage during a fan meeting in China. The actors are known to be close and good friends and were happy to meet again with fans. 

The stars of "Descendants of the Sun" gave thousands of fans a great treat in Chengdu, China on June 17. 

"I had looked forward to meeting Song Joong-ki even before filming the series because so many people had sung his praises," Song Hye-kyo said about her co-star. "Through working with him, I realized how genuine and thoughtful of a person he is. I think he's a great friend."

Song Joong-ki also had only great things to say about his female co-star.

"She has been such a reliable and kind partner and colleague," he said.

The fan meeting involved over 6,500 fans, Yonhap News reports. The actors re-enacted scenes from the TV series, to the delight of all fans watching. 

"Descendants of the Sun" was a mega-hit in both South Korea and China. Song Joong-ki ended the event by thanking his fans. 

"Lately, I've been feeling first-hand how many of you there are and how precious you all are to me," he said toward the end of the event. "I will never stop thanking you."

Song Joong-ki's tour of Asia will come to a close soon in Taiwan.
