Tom Hiddleston As The Next James Bond? Was ‘The Night Manager’ His ‘Bond Audition?’
Fans are hoping that Tom Hiddleston would become the next James Bond. Does he have the acting skills to follow Daniel Craig's footsteps? According to the actor's avid followers, he definitely does.
According to Daily Mail, his new role in the BBC1 spy drama, "The Night Manager." Fans, who call themselves Hiddlestoners, went to Twitter to express their excitement at the new side that that actor showed.
"Wow, great start to 'The Night Manager' - Tom Hiddleston would be perfect as James Bond," one fan posted on the microblogging site.
"My Mum and I are officially starting a petition for Tom Hiddleston to be James Bond," another excitedly pointed out.
"#TheNightManager is honestly Tom's audition for James Bond," one more shared his opinion.
Some even edited photos of the "Crimson Peak" star as Ian Fleming's iconic character which was liked by several fans.
It looks like fans don't have to work hard to convince the "High Rise" star to try out for the prestigious role.
"I'm a huge Bond fan. Daniel Craig is doing a very good job... maybe one day," he previously told The Sun.
"The Night Manager" showed off how Hiddleston would like as a spy. Even the actor himself noticed the similarities between his current character, Jonathan Pine to Agent 007.
"I've been getting a lot of that," he previously told The Telegraph. "There are similarities insofar as Pine and Bond are granted a licence above and beyond the law to do bad things for the greater good. Bond has a 00 licence to kill. I don't know if Pine is a 00 just yet..."
Tom Hiddleston isn't the only one that James Bond fans are looking at to take over the role. Other contenders include Hugh Jackman, Idris Elba, and Theo James. Which actor does the famous character fit the most?
