Dakota Johnson Disses Boyfriend Matthew Hitt With Movie ‘How To Be Single’?

Did "Fifty Shades Darker" Dakota Johson diss former boyfriend Matthew Hitt?

During the promotional tour of her new movie "How to be Single?" Dakota Johnson was asked if she's dating anybody right now.

"I'm not the type of person that goes to a lot of parties," Johnson said in an interview with Fox News. "I cherish my solitude and I think it's important for young women, especially now, to know that it's OK to explore the world and yourself without the pressures of other people's opinions of you."

Dakota Johnson also seemed to throw a shade at former boyfriend Matthew Hitt when the "Fifty Shades Darker" actress said that she doesn't need a man to complete her.

"In today's society there's less of a stigma on being single," she added. "I think society is relinquishing some of the pressures of needing to find a spouse."

But now that she's single, what kind of men does Dakota Johnson look for?

"I'm attracted to people who respect me, who are kind, who are intelligent and who can keep up with me," said.

Nevertheless, her Anastasia Steele character in "Fifty Shades of Grey" had men running the other way.

"For the most part, men don't approach me. I think they're afraid. But right now I'm just focused on my work so it isn't an issue for me," she added.

Dakota Johnson and former boyfriend Matthew Hitt split right before the "Fifty Shades of Grey" came out in the summer of last year. They tried to get back together after all the hoopla died down, but broke up for good.

The 26-year-old confirmed during an interview with "The Ellen DeGeneres" show late last year that she was no longer with boyfriend Matthew Hitt. Dakota Johnson was rumored to have rekindled her romance with ex, Jake Gyllenhaal, but that rumor proved to be false.
