Chris Pratt Reboots Weight Loss Program To Prepare For 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' Filming?

After his impressing weight loss for "Guardians of the Galaxy" a couple of years ago, Chris Pratt's fitness regimen has earned the interest of fans as well as health buffs all over the world.

Now that Marvel has announced the start of filming for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," as reported by /Film, has the actor rebooted his diet and fitness progam for his role as Star-Lord?

It could be recounted that before his weight loss, Chris Pratt portrayed the role of chubby slacker Andy Dwyer in "Parks and Recreation."

"I saw myself and I thought, 'Wow, I'm getting fat.' And then immediately I was like, 'This is the funniest...' I was making myself laugh," Chris Pratt previously told GQ. "I was: 'That's where it's at. There's no one doing that. No one being like a super-confident dumb fat guy.' So I started."

In the same interview, the actor admitted that his weight caused problems not only with his health but also with his self-esteem.

"My bones ached, I had cardiovascular issues, I was unhealthy, I was feeling rotten," the actor said.

As he prepared for "Guardians of the Galaxy" which was released in 2014, Chris Pratt worked to shed off pounds through a low-carb Paleo diet and what seems to be a rigorous weight loss program.

"Pratt's workouts included sessions of P90X , running, swimming, boxing, kickboxing, and he even a triathlon," Men's Fitness previously wrote.

"The actor, who has starred in hits like Moneyball and Zero Dark Thirty, is keeping up with his newly chiseled frame, working with a trainer six days a week while preparing for another role in the revamped version of Jurassic Park."

And now that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" has began filming, many believe that Chris Pratt could be sticking to his fitness program more than ever.

Aside from his weight loss regimen, Chris Pratt's fans are also interested to know more about the plot details of "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" which is scheduled to hit theaters in May 2017.
