Manny Pacquiao Responds To Dave Batista's Threat And Magic Johnson's Pro LGBT Comments

Manny Pacquiao used to be a saint among his fellow athletes and other celebrities for how he got to where he is now. That changed in just a few words he uttered.

The Filipino boxer came under fire in many parts of the world for his comments against homosexuals. Among the celebrity fans he lost are NBA legend Magic Johnson and fellow Filipino Dave Batista.

Despite the outrage, Pacman is unfazed.

"I'm not bothered, that's the world," Pacquiao said when asked about criticism from Johnson and Bautista, per Edward Chaykovsky of BoxingScene.com. "I mean, Jesus lives in me so I'm always happy. Says the Bible, every day has enough troubles of its own, so don't be bothered about that."

The Filipino fighter, who is set to fight Timothy Bradley on April, turned from hero to goat after saying that same-sex marriage is worse than animals when asked during a local TV appearance. Magic Johnson was quick to react to those statements.

Former pro wrestling star Dave Batista is more emotional about Manny Pacquiao's homophobic comments because of his deep connection to the LGBT community.

"My mom happens to be a lesbian so I don't fucking take that shit," said Batista during an interview with TMZ.

"I don't think it's funny. If anyone called my mother an animal I'd stick my foot in his ass."

Manny Pacquiao did not only lose fans. He also lost endorsement as Nike dropped him shortly after his comments spread. He has since then apologized and insisted he won't change his views.
