'Game Of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke’s Character To Be The Next Victim Of the Show’s Unmerciful Plot Twist?
Anticipating an imminent plot twist at practically every crucial juncture in the storyline is possibly the best "Game of Thrones" fans can do to avoid exposing themselves to the risks of recurring emotional turbulence.
Moving forward, this could be an even more important skill to possess for those still unable to get over Jon Snow's unexpected and untimely demise (arguably the most abhorrent plot twist in the show's five-year history). That's because a new trailer for the forthcoming "Game of Thrones" season 6 hints at the death of Emilia Clarke's character (Khaleesi).
The trailer in question appeared online a few days back and it shows the faces of the important, but currently-dead characters.
Surprisingly, not only did Jon Snow make it to the list of the dead characters but so did Emilia Clarke's character.
Some of the other important (but now dead) characters showed in the trailer included Ned Stark, Robb Stark, Catelyn Stark and Joffrey Baratheon.
In an attempt to decipher the seemingly cryptic message in the trailer, the Evening Standard pointed out that it could be just an effort to demonstrate that moving forward, nobody in the "Game of Thrones" universe can be deemed safe, not even the mother of dragons.
However, at the same time, some observers also believe that fans should not read too much into it.
While these claims and counter claims are admittedly purely speculative (and perhaps somewhat comical), one shouldn't forget the prophecy by none other than George R.R. Martin himself about the TV show having a lot more deaths as compared to the book.
"People are going to die who don't die in the books, so even the book readers will be unhappy," the author said, as reported by ScreenRant,
"So everybody better be on their toes. [The show's co-creators] David [Benioff] and D.B. [Weiss] are even bloodier than I am."
"Game of Thrones" season 6 will premiere on April 24, 2016.
