'Deadpool' Movie News: Junkie XL To Compose Music For 2016 Film! More Details Released!
If you have been following the development of upcoming "Deadpool" movie, news had just gotten in: Dutch producer and composer Junkie XL has been confirmed to compose the music for the upcoming installment in "X-Men" film series according to ComingSoon.net.
While composers do not really get enough attention, they are one of the important factors that add impact to the overall film. Junkie XL, whose real name is Tom Holkenborg, confirmed the "Deadpool" movie news on Oct. 4 via Twitter, saying that the said superhero film is his next project and that he will start working on it the next day, Oct. 5. The movie will be starred by Ryan Reynolds, playing the titular hero.
Holkenborg recently did musical work for "Mad Max: Fury Road" as well as collaborating with Hans Zimmer on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," "Man of Steel" and "The Dark Knight Rises." He is also set to compose music for "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice." Being a multi-instrumentalist and working on these movies, Holkenborg surely proven that he can make unpredictable beats that will complement the movie according to Digital Trends.
Based on the popular Marvel Comics character of the same name, "Deadpool" focuses on ex-special forces operative Wade Wilson as he becomes the subject of an experiment which left him with accelerated healing powers, disfigured skin, and "dark, twisted" sense of humor. With his new abilities, he assumes the new identity and he is set to hunt the man who almost killed his life.
The development for the upcoming movie started in Feb. 2004 with New Line Cinema, however it was put on hold in March 2005 and 20th Century Fox soon sparked interest in continuing its development. Production resumed in 2009, and in 2011 Tim Miller was announced to direct the movie.
