With the PC gaming market expanding at a rather exponential pace, it is becoming prudent of even the most "mainstream" manufacturers in the industry to push aggressively into the game.

Acer is certainly no exception to that trend - a fact evident by the Taiwan-based company's spurting efforts that happen to have manifested in one of the most highly anticipated products in its recent history.

Case in point, the Acer Aspire V Nitro (Black Edition).

Before getting started with this Acer Aspire V Nitro review, let's make it abundantly clear that the device, in essence, can serve as a credible desktop replacement.

More importantly, it attempts to extend superior gaming experience to users without really digging a hole in their pocket.

The Aspire V Nitro is not ugly, but it's no eye candy either, most people won't probably even give it a second glance. But, don't let the mediocre design deceive you.

With a form factor of 15.3 x 10.1 x 0.94-in (W x B x H), it weighs approximately 2.2 kg and somehow manages to fit into the "thin and light" category of notebooks.

The display is perhaps one of the best feats you will read about in this Aspire V Nitro review.

4K content looks quite awesome in this notebook and you won't have to bother about pesky businesses such as glaring. However, it does not come with a touchscreen.

To match the awesome display, the device also brings you a set of really powerful speakers.

It's not the best quality speakers you would want it to have in your notebook, but nonetheless, it's pretty powerful and you are unlikely to have issues with low volume while playing music or movies.

The Device is powered by a Haswell-based quad-core 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-4710 HQ processor with the GeForce GTX 860M GPU overseeing the graphics.

The built-in memory size is 2 GB and the storage capacity is 256 (SSD) paired with a 1TB hard drive (5,400 RPM).
