'Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice' Stars Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill Talk About Their Characters

It's no secret that many were surprised when Warner Bros. decided to name Ben Affleck as the next Caped Crusader in the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie.

And while many felt that the 43-year-old actor is not the perfect actor to portray the role as revealed in an article published by Time, "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill thinks otherwise.

"I'm sure he'll be fantastic above all else. And as a filmmaker, he's got his own style, you know," Cavill said of his "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" co-star in an interview with Total Film.

"He's not copying anyone else. And he's also sort of being tenacious in his career. He's had ups followed by downs and now he's very up again, and I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character. And it's something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character, they require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. And Ben has that, clearly."

In other news, the "Man of Steel" star also clarified speculations claiming that the upcoming Warner Bros. film will be split into two versions.

"Henry Cavill says 'Batman v Superman' won't be split into two movies. #BAFTATea," Ramin Setoodeh of Variety Tweeted after talking to Henry Cavill during the BAFTA dinner.

"Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will be joined by new Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman and Jeremy Irons as Alfred.

Returning stars will include Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on March 25, 2016.
