Brandon Flowers Promises A New 'The Killers' Album This Year?
The Killers is reportedly gearing up to release a new album possible this year.
In April, the American rock band confirmed that they will be playing their first show for the year in Las Vegas Arena.
While fans were previously left worried after Dave Keuning seemed to have claimed that the band will no longer continue performing due to their solo careers, it's been reported that there will be no breakup that's going to happen.
According to The Killers frontman, Brandon Flowers they are all good and the band members are in a good relationship.
"I get it," Flowers explained to Rolling Stone after hearing breakup rumors. "There are a couple of remarks made by Dave [Keuning], our guitar player, that made it sound a little bit more ominous than it really was. And so it makes people wonder. But, no, everything is fine."
And while he assured fans The Killers is still very much intact, the 34-year-old singer admitted that he is indeed working on his solo career.
"I can't believe it's been five years," Flowers explained of his solo performance to Pop Crush. "Being onstage without them...it is different. I try to look for the similarities rather than dwell on the differences because I need that comfort, I guess."
And while a new album may be on the way, Flowers did explain that they are in no hurry in releasing a new song for The Killers.
"I've been used to more of a polarizing situation, and that usually goes in my favor," he explained. "I think if somebody really hates it or people really love it, then it usually works out. But this time, it's been a lot more positive and I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing."
"I don't think that far! I don't know where The Killers are gonna be, and where our headspace is gonna be after each record."
