After two seasons and three films to date, "Yowamushi Pedal" Season 3 has been confirmed during the film screening on Tuesday. Production for the upcoming season is now in the works, and a promotional video announced that broadcast times, release date and other details will be revealed soon as reported by The Fandom Post.

Based on a Japanese manga series written by Wataru Watanabe, the previous seasons were directed by Osamu Nabeshima. Reiko Yoshida wrote the script while character designs are done by Takahiko Yoshida. The anime series was produced by TMS Entertainment. While there are no details released regarding production and casting, it is clear that these same names will be in charge for the upcoming "Yowamushi Pedal" Season 3.

The story focuses on timid, anime-loving Sakamichi Onoda, who had been riding his commuter bike since fourth grade, traveling at 90-kilometers to and from otaku hot spot Akihabara after school. After entering Sohoku High School, he tried to join the anime research club, however after meeting renowned cyclist Imaizumi Shunsuke and Naruko Shoukichi, who swept the Kansai cycling championship, he joined the competitive cycling club instead. A series of trials and rigorous training awaits Onoda, but thanks to his friends and upperclassmen, he is able to unveil the talented road racer inside him.

Meanwhile, the said anime series is also slated to collaborate with Japan Cup 2015 Cycle Road Race in Utsunomiya, which will take place between October 10-11 and 16-18. Participants can get special goodies and join a lottery event where the winner can win an autograph from series creator Watanabe himself, according to a report from Anime News Network.

The lottery is scheduled to take place in the morning of the event. The winner will receive the said autograph printed on a limited-edition tote bag. Other goodies announced include specially-designed bike apparel and even car decals. All of these are available at the event site and at the Japan Cup online shop. It will be open from October 1 until the last day of Japan Cup.

The last season focused on Inter High bicycle race which continues from the first season of the series. What could be next for "Yowamushi Pedal" Season 3? Let's wait and see.
