Photo Confirms Janet Jackson Throat Cancer? Singer Spotted For The First Time After Postponed 2016 Tour Dates
Janet Jackson looks "Unbreakable" after throat cancer rumors and cancelling her 2016 tour dates to undergo surgery.
The singer was recently photographed for the first time after announcing that she was sick and had to undergo an emergency operation due to a yet-to-be revealed illness. She was wearing a scarf around her neck and a black fur coat as she was on her way to an art gallery in London with husband Wissam Al Mana.
Although Janet Jackson never confirmed the throat cancer rumors, gossip website Radar Online claimed that the singer is now recovering from surgery and will work on re-scheduling her canceled 2016 tour dates.
"The surgery was a complete success!" a Jackson family friend allegedly told Radar Online. "It turned out it was not as bad as everyone initially thought, and doctors were able to remove the entire tumor."
"Wissam has been incredible to Janet," the source added. "He really is an angel in her life. When she met him she was not in a great place and he has helped her in every facet of her life tremendously.
Following the alleged throat cancer surgery, Janet Jackson was reportedly back to being her happy self again.
"She sounded amazing. She was not only talking, but she actually sounded upbeat and almost like her old self again," the family friend said.
On December 24, Janet Jackson took to Twitter to announce that some of her 2016 "Unbreakable" tour dates have been canceled, which was supposed to start last Jan. 9.
"I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon," Janet Jackson wrote on Twitter. "It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your ticket. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced."
