Bon Jovi's New Album Release Date Confirmed For March 2016; Transfers To New Label After 35 Years With Mercury?

Back in August, Bon Jovi released a new single titled "Burning Bridges," following their split with their longtime label Mercury. 

Since then, fans have been anticipating a release date for the upcoming new album, "This House Is Not For Sale."

According to Ultimate Classic Rock, the band has reportedly set a March 2016 release date for the upcoming record 

As per the website, Jon Bon Jovi discussed details of the new album during a press junket in Kuala Lumpur. The "Bed of Roses" singer revealed that the band went back to the studio where they recorded 1982's "Runaway." 

"We were recording at different times and different rooms in the studio," the frontman explained. "That's not happening anymore. We went back to the place where we cut 'Runaway' in 1982 - where I used to sweep the floor and fetch coffee."

The studio, Power Station in Manhattan, NYC, was owned by the frontman's cousin Tony Bongiovi.

"When I wrote 'Runaway' in 1982, my viewpoint wasn't that big, but with every record and passing decade of our career, we evolve," Jon Bon Jovi explained. "We keep our eyes open, let information in and write about the world around us.

The singer also explained that the new album reflects the band's integrity. 

"We really couldn't write 'You Give Love a Bad Name' now. It was great when I was 25 but not at 53. This record is about our integrity," he added. "Integrity matters and we're at a stage of our career where we don't have anything left to prove."

The new record marks the band's first release outside of label Mercury Records, who dropped them last year after 35-years of being together. 

"It's the end of an era," the lead vocalist said in an interview with Billboard. "I've stayed at that label my entire life-32 years. I am the longest tenured artist on Mercury, or whatever they are called this week. But my deal was up, and that's that."
