Will Smith's New Music In The Works, World Tour Set To Take Place In 2016?
American actor Will Smith has new music brewing on. The 47-year-old actor confirmed that he is in the studio every day working on new music for the first time after 10 years, BBC reports.
Smith is best known for his film career for starring in Hollywood movies including "Men in Black," "Independence Day," "I Am Legend" and "I, Robot." But he is also known in his equally successful music career, releasing 4 albums as a solo artist as well as additional 5 releases in collaboration with DJ Jazzy Jeff. His last album was "Lost and Found," released in 2005.
"I'm pretty much poppin' in the studio every day and I'm looking for artists to collaborate with. I've probably recorded 30 songs. I have six or seven that I really like," says Smith in an interview with Beats 1 radio host DJ Zane Lowe.
However, the star also admitted that things have changed a bit since he was last in the recording studio and despite the fact that Will Smith is making new music again, it's also been taking some time for him to find his voice again. He further explains, "I have so many things I wanted to say. I'm struggling with saying them that fit the flavor of the music I turn to." Smith also confirmed that he will be touring with DJ Jazzy Jeff, which is scheduled in 2016 according to a report from Sky News.
Aside from his music, Smith is also working on acting projects which include the highly-anticipated "Suicide Squad" movie, slated also for next year. His next movie, "Concussion," is scheduled for release on Christmas Day and the trailer has been released in YouTube on August 31.
