Xbox Two And PS5 Release Date: Which One Will Come Sooner?

There are various rumors circulating around the Internet about the possible release dates of Xbox two and PS5. Will gamers be holding the controllers of the newest game consoles sooner rather than later?

Several outfits agree that Xbox two is under development. However, the timeline leading to its release date seems to be unpredictable for some.

"A new console is a case of when rather than if," Tech Radar wrote. "And with the lessons learned from the Xbox One's launch, its subsequent evolution and rising sales, Microsoft couldn't be in a better position to make the next console its most considered launch yet. We just might have to wait another seven years for it."

Another report noted that Microsoft doesn't seem to follow a particular trend when it comes to the release date of its consoles.

"...The first Xbox had a surprisingly short lifespan of four years, but then dominant Xbox 360 rolled on for eight years (partly due to a global recession admittedly) before the Xbox One emerged," Expert Reviews wrote.

On the other hand, the article mentioned that the release of PS5 could be a little more possible to predict than its rival.

"The PlayStation has had a more stable existence, with six years between each console (seven for the PS3 but again that recession has to be noted)," the article continued. "That would put an Xbox Two (and possibly a PS5) around the back end of 2019."

Along with release date rumors, gamers and industry experts are already speculating on the possible features of Xbox two and PS5 as early as now.

"Physics engines haven't changed since I did the physics on [Dreamcast game] TrickStyle," Criterion's former technology director Paul Ross previously said, as quoted by Video Gamer.

"They're all about rigid bodies, solid objects. This is a real paradigm shift because it's about simulating physics at a molecular level. It's been a really hard problem to solve for quite a while."

Microsoft and Sony are yet to give official statements about the release date and developments concerning Xbox two and PS5.
