"Fifty Shades Darker" actress, Dakota Johnson, has been trying to make her relationship work with Matthew Hitt even after their alleged split.

The 26-year-old actress' recent spotting with the "Drowners" frontman outside her NYC apartment has fueled their reunion rumors once again.

The Daily Mail reported that Johnson was seen leaving her apartment, few moments after her ex-beau was spotted at the same place.

There are speculations that Johnson and Hitt have patched things up again and that the couple has sorted out their differences.

E! Online, reported that the "Fifty Shades Darker" star wants to be cuddled and be around her dear ones all the time. The publication also claimed that according to Johnson, the biggest disadvantage of being single is not being cuddled all the time, thus fueling her romantic involvement with the 28-year-old singer.

Earlier, "Fifty Shades Darker" star Dakota Johnson confirmed that she had broken up with her ex-beau, Hitt when she made an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres show."

"Her life was getting too crazy and it wasn't something that he wanted to be a part of," Fashion & Style revealed.

Moreover, there were speculations that Hitt and Johnson broke up due to her raunchy sex scenes in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.

While the rumors of Matthew Hitt and Dakota Johnson's reunion are in the air, the actress recently revealed that she is focusing on her career right now and is too busy to spend time worrying about men.

"My life has changed dramatically," Johnson told Mirror. "There are times that I feel lonely, but then I just watch movies and read books and I'm happy that I have the time to do those things. I cherish my solitude."

She will next be seen with Jamie Dornan in the upcoming sequel from the trilogy.

In addition, to the two lead stars, Kim Basinger, Luke Grimes, Max Martini and Eloise Mumford will also join the movie adaptation to E.L. James' erotic novel.

The "Fifty Shades Darker" movie is set to be released on Feb. 10, 2017.
