Samsung Galaxy S7 Specs, Release Date, Price: Here’s What Potential Buyers Can Expect

It looks like the Android 7.0 Nougat update is coming to the Galaxy A3 (2017), if GFXBench is to be believed.

Samsung earlier this month confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S7 release date is set to fall on Feb. 21.

However, that has not stopped the rumors and speculations surrounding the South Korean tech giant's next flagship.

A new alleged leaked image of the Galaxy S7, first published by Vietnam-based tech website ReviewDao, appears to show the back of the device.

Even though the photo did not give too much away, SamMobile was quick to point out that the camera seemed to be somewhat more flush with the back plate as compared to the Galaxy S6.

Korea Portal can not independently verify the authenticity of the leaked images. But, if true, this would mean that the Galaxy S7 will come with a metal framed body along with possible glass back.

Based on rumors and leaked information surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S7 specs, it appears that the device could come with 4GB or RAM; 12MP camera with f/1.7 aperture (designed to facilitate better low-light photography); 32GB/64GB storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Remember all the outrage last year when Samsung had decided to do away with external microSD card support? If the company has learned anything from that mishap, it is certainly going to switch back to offering microSD support as one of its specs again.

Amongst other key Galaxy S7 specs, could be the pressure sensitive touch, as well as a retina scanner, as reported by the Wall Street Journal citing unidentified sources.

Worth noting, the concept of the pressure-sensitive touchscreen, a feature that allows users access new menus and options within any app without really having to fully open them, was first adapted by Samsung's arch-rival Apple Inc.

Apple popularized the feature by introducing it in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Not much is known about the Galaxy S7 price yet. However, The Telegraph reports that the device could be priced at £600 upwards ($870 approx).
