The upcoming movie "Fifty Shades Darker" appeared to be a battle of exes as the production team has signed up actresses who will play the role of Christian Grey's former girlfriends.

After news about the inclusion of Kim Basinger in the film broke out, another name came out to portray Jamie Dornan's ex-lover in the second installment of the "Fifty Shades" trilogy.

According to the Deadline, Australian actress Bella Heathcote is set to join the cast of the movie adaptation of E.L. James world-renowned book series.

Based on the report, the 28-year-old "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" star "will play Leila, a former lover of Christian, who bears the scars to prove it."

With Basinger, Heathcote and Dakota Johnson (who is Jamie Dornan's current love interest in the movie, Anastasia "Ana" Steele) to act as past and present romantic partners of the lead actor, as revealed by several news reports, what level of excitement could fans possibly expect from "Fifty Shades Darker" movie?

In the meantime, the Inquisitr, while citing a report by "Us" magazine, disclosed that Kendall Jenner was initially considered for the character of Leila but the team, particularly the producers, decided to pick Heathcote instead.

Accordingly, the announcement was made via the official Twitter page of the movie. However, the outlet failed to cite reasons why such decision was achieved.

Meanwhile, as Leila Williams, Heathcote will experience a psychological meltdown and her attempt to go back to Christian Grey's arms is anticipated to bring more exciting scenes especially that it was pointed out in the "Fifty Shades Darker" news that in the book, she even resorted to stalking Anastasia Steele.

On the other hand, The Hollywood Reporter shared that the "Fifty Shades Darker" movie will be filming in Paris for a number of days.

As revealed by the news report, "Fifty Shades Darker" shoot in the said location will happen "within the first six months" of 2016.
