Fans of the acclaimed band Red Hot Chili Peppers have been waiting for a new album to be released sometime soon and music aficionados can expect better things from the Los Angeles-based group as Flea elaborates on the early stages of making the record.

It was reported by NME a few years back that a new album was in the works that will be the 11th studio release for the band Red Hot Chili Peppers, which bassist Flea has said to be "super danceable."

In an interview with the source, the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist discussed how the band was in the process of "feeling out" each other during the early stages of making the new album.

"We had a new guitar player, Josh Klinghoffer, and it was a real feeling-out process with each other," he explained. "We didn't want to play gigs with him until we'd made a new record. This time, it feels a lot better than the last one."

Flea went on to state that the rest of Red Hot Chili Peppers had been writing and rehearsing materials and getting things done in the studio. Moreover, he even said further that they're almost finished writing and described their work on their new album as "super danceable."

"It's cool," he said. "It's super danceable, funky shit and some real introspective, pretty stuff. It feels good, man, and it's fun to play it.

"I would hope that in a year from now, we have a record out and we're on a world tour."

Meanwhile, the band caught fans in a state of heavy nostalgia as they performed one of their hit song "Aeroplane," which was written two decades ago during the Dave Navarro era of RHCP, according to Consequence of Sound.

The source noted that the track "Aeroplane" dated back 20 years ago when the band still had Dave Navarro as their guitarist.

"Aeroplane," which was the follow-up to "One Hot Minute," was recently performed again by Red Hot Chili Peppers during their act at the Super Bowl pre-party concert in San Francisco.
