'Cosmos' Season 2 Release Date Happening In 2016? To Feature Next-Gen Issues?

The recent speculations tease the possibility that the release date for "Cosmos" season 2 will soon be announced as hinted by the presenter of the science show, Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The executive producer of the television series, hinted at the probable release date announcement for the show, during "Star Talk" promotional event.

Also, Tyson teased that "Cosmos" season 2 released date discussions were going on and that an official announcement will soon be made in few months' time.

"Iconic science show 'Cosmos a Spacetime Odyssey' isn't dead at Fox," Neil told The Hollywood Reporter.  "We should know soon, within a month possibly."

Moreover, the 57-year-old producer even claimed that various meetings and discussions have taken place already with the Fox network team and the release date will soon be finalized for the upcoming "Cosmos" season 2.

Also, Release Date.info reported the "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" season 2 is yet to be officially announced, but almost certainly it will be made available this year.

Meanwhile, few spoilers for the season 2 of the science-based show have also surfaced due to Tyson's revelations during the interview.

The Astrophysicist revealed that the storyline for the new season will mostly focus on next generation issues trying to provide solutions to the rising problems.

Tyson also claimed that he would maintain the pattern of the upcoming season of the television series exactly similar to that of season 1.

"I don't think there's anything I would do differently," Neil told Business Insider. "I was quite happy with how that turned out, how the visualizations, the animations, the script, the music. It's a full sensory-intellectual experience."

Also, he revealed that the new season will feature more detailed episodes based on particular topics which will provide all its viewers an educational as well as feature film experience.

Additionally, Tyson said that the rising success rate of the science-based television shows and movies like, "The Big Bang Theory" and "Gravity" has convinced him to push through with "Cosmos" season 2.
