Freddie Roach Thinks Manny Pacquiao Will Fight Again If He Does Not Win In Senatorial Bid

Manny Pacquiao's next fight against Timothy Bradley will be his last as he announced his retirement to focus on his political career in the Philippines.

The Filipino fighter is currently a congressman gunning a senate seat in the upcoming May election. If he wins, that means his boxing career will more likely be over.

That is, If he wins.

If not, he might fight again, according to his own trainer Freddie Roach.

"A lot depends on whether he becomes a senator or not," Roach told Ring Magazine's Michael Rosenthal. "If he doesn't win the senate race, what will he do? Does he go back to being a congressman? Being a congressman and a boxer is OK. Being a senator and boxer may be a little too much."

The Boxing Hall of Fame member also said that he will be disappointed if Manny Pacquiao's next fight will be the last before his retirement.

"I do know Manny well, though," he added. "He would love to be the senator who defended his title someday. I don't think this is his last fight for some reason. I just don't see it because he has a lot left in him."

"His work ethic is still great. I'd be disappointed if this was his last fight. I've been with him a long time, we had a great run. I'll support whatever he does."

Manny Pacquiao's fight with Timothy Bradley fight is scheduled on April 9 in Las Vegas. This will be the third time these two will get it on in the ring. They first met in 2012 where Bradley won. Pacman was able to exact a revenge when they met in 2014.

However, fans really want Manny Pacquiao to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. who defeated him May last year. However, the undefeated American fighter insisted that his retirement will stay and doesn't miss boxing at all. He even turned down a nine-figure offer to come out of retirement, according to the reports.
