iPad Air 3 Rumors: 3D Touch And Amazing Accessories Reported, Comes In Expensive Price Tag?

If iPad Air 3 will indeed be introduced, it will be the first upgrade to Apple's tablet since 2014.

According to reports, 3D Touch might be one of the new features of iPad Air 3 not present in its earlier versions.

"3D Touch is a pressure-sensitive technology found in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus' screen that allows users to access certain shortcuts by pressing down harder on the phone's display," TIME reported. "Apple has yet to bring this capability to the iPad."

The report also mentioned rumors that iPad Air 3 could support updated tablet accessories including Smart Keyboard introduced for iPad Pro.

"Details surrounding the iPad Air 3 are less clear, but leaked design drawings and aftermarket cases suggest the new 9.7-inch tablet could have a rear-facing LED camera flash, Smart Connector, and four speakers like the iPad Pro," Mac Rumors wrote.

"Taiwanese website DigiTimes also said the iPad Air 3 will have a high-resolution 4K display and up to 4GB of RAM, but the report is questionable due to the publication's mixed track record at reporting on Apple's upcoming product plans," the site added.

According to rumors gathered by Tech Radar, Apple's iPad 3 could also come with an expensive price tag, but it may not be as pricey as iPad Pro is.

"Initially we expected the iPad Air 3 to launch in 2015 but instead Apple gave us the iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4. And to be honest, that kept us satisfied," Tech Radar wrote.

"The iPad Pro feels like an innovative, new product while the iPad Mini 4 is a big improvement upon the iPad Mini 3."

"Rumor is that Apple wanted to hold off releasing the third iteration of the iPad Air as it didn't want to overload consumers with too many different choices. Good decision," the report added.

Apple users are excited which of the iPad Air 3 rumors are true as they await the device's reported released date around mid-March.
