The South Korean electronics giant announced on Thursday the all-new LG V10, a smartphone that comes with not just one, but two - yes two - front-facing cameras higher-quality selfie photos, CNet reports.

Vice president for product strategy Ramchan Woo tells the press that the new LG V10 smartphone is the "beginning of a new series." In fact, the company is already planning for its sequel device next year and believes that the larger screen feature will give consumers another excellent alternative to the high-end models such as iPhone 6S Plus and Samsung's Galaxy Note 5.

According to Woo, LG executives have been discussing on whether to stick with the G brand - which it uses for its flagship G4 and G Flex 2 smartphones - or create something different for the market. In the end, they decided to go with V10 to create a product without ties to anything from its growing smartphone lineup.

And while their G series is for users who like to consume content, the all-new LG V10 smartphone is aimed to attract those who create content. The two front cameras are built for a unique reason: the company wants the LG V10 smartphone users to say goodbye to selfie sticks - for good, according to a firsthand review by Android Central.

The said two front cameras have their unique features: one lens shoots at selfie-standard 80 degrees, while the other one widens up to 120 degrees for better group shots. Also, LG includes a custom camera app that lets you combine multiple selfies from multiple angles all into one single photo.

Other features of the LG V10 smartphone allow users to take a few seconds of video throughout the day and let the device compile them altogether - perfect for vloggers who need to take multiple videos on the go. Aside from its unique media features, the newest model still shares its similar features from the G series such as a fingerprint reader and a stainless steel cover, making LG the first company to use metal for its mobile chassis.

The release date for LG V10 smartphone is not yet confirmed by the company representatives as of this time.
