Prior To 'Persona 5' Release Date Velvet Twins Outfit Teased At 'Persona 4: Dancing All Night'
It's been five years since Altus started working on "Persona 5," yet the game developing company has yet to announce a release date for the follow-up to last year's "Dancing All Night."
However, fans will be excited to know that long-awaited game is finally arriving this summer.
According to Gematsu, Altus CEO Naoto Hiraoka revealed that "Persona 5" is one of the many games they plan to drop in 2016.
"In the summer, we'll launch the long-awaited 'Persona 5,'" Hiraoka said in a statement on Dengeki PlayStation, carried on by the website.
"Of course, in addition, to that we have several unannounced titles. As you can also see from the close Japanese and foreign release dates for 'Dragon's Crown' in 2013 due to its online elements, the barrier between the domestic and overseas market is dying."
In line with "Persona 5" release date news, a report from IGN pointed out that a "Persona 5" costume has been found within the game data for "Persona 4: Dancing All Night."
According to the publication, user ShrineFox on the Amicitia boards uploaded data from the game, and Twitter user @regularpanties noticed a costume that is similar to Velvet Room resident Caroline's uniform from "Persona 5."
Caroline and her fellow Velvet Room resident Justine were teased in the countdown leading to Altus' "Persona 5" stream at last year's Tokyo Game Show.
The popular Velvet Room twins also made a brief cameo in "Persona 5's" trailer.
Hiraoka also mentioned that several unannounced games would have release dates throughout the rest of 2016.
Gaming fans speculate that he's not only pertaining to the launch of long-running franchises such as "Persona," but also a possible revival of some of Altus' forgotten titles.
Stay tuned for more on "Persona 5" release date, gameplay and costumes as information become available.
