Death Of Jim Carrey's Ex-Girlfriend Cathriona White Mourned; Mother Cries Foul Over Suspected Suicide
Actor Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona White was found dead by LAPD on Monday night, Fox News reports.
"I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona," the 53-year old comedian stated. "She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
Carrey and ex-girlfriend Cathriona White dated in 2012 and broke up, however were photographed holding hands in New York City on May 21 according to Too Fab. Numerous news outlets reported that the couple had rekindled their romance.
The mother of Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona White, Brigid, suspected that her daughter possibly committed suicide as a suicide note has been found along with her body.
On the same day, White posted her last tweet, saying: "Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest," according to Daily Mail Online.
Police officers of LAPD do not release information regarding suicides while the Los Angeles County Coroner could not immediately be reached for comment.
On Sept. 16, Carrey posted a photo of himself on Twitter along with the caption, "Grand Central, NYC (photo by Cathriona White)." The alleged suicide note referenced a breakup with him on Sept. 24.
Cathriona White was an Irish makeup artist who moved to the United States. Her social media accounts do not mention anything about the actor, however she retweeted a photo with him on Feb. 24. On her Instagram account you will find snapshots of her recent meals, her family and animals.
White also posted a photo quote dated two weeks with a caption that reads: "I sometimes smile and act like nothing is wrong. It's called dealing with s--t and staying strong."
