'Jurassic World 2' News And Release Date: Chris Pratt Replaced Bryce Dallas Howard Criticized?
The highly anticipated movie "Jurassic World" in June 2015 will be coming back with "Jurassic World 2" to be premiered in theaters years from now. Who will be awarded the lead role in the next franchise?
"Jurassic World" has become one of the highest grossing movie after earning over $1.6 Billion. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard have been confirmed to reprised their roles in "Jurassic World 2" as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing.
According to new reports, Howard will be undergoing a massive character change in the next franchise. Rumors have been circulating that she will be taking over Pratt as the new lead in the sequel.
"That was part of Jurassic World. They served their purpose. Actually, to answer that question seriously, Claire is a different person now," Howard told E! Online in an interview.
Howard's character has been criticized for being in heels the whole film.
"The person she is at the end of the [first] movie is not the person she was in the beginning," the "Twilight" actress revealed. Her armor of sorts was that white, pristine outfit with heels in a very corporate environment and stuff, and the chick at the end - totally different. So yeah... it better not be heels."
The actress was asked if the high heels are coming back, the actress replied, "No," the actress responed "better not be in heels."
Movie News Guide has reported that Director Colin Trevorrow will not be directing "Jurassic World 2" but he will be involved in the production.
"I feel like the audience has given us permission, to a certain extent, to take this to the next level," Trevorrow said during his interview with Entertainment Weekly. "It's all about using this as a starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life."
Universal Studios has confirmed to release "Jurassic World 2" on June 22, 2018.
