'Gilmore Girls' Reunion News And Spoilers: Lauren Graham Reprises Role, Alexis Bledel Missing?
"Gilmore Girls" will be coming back as Netflix revives the show. The original cast Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel return to reprise their roles in the phenomenal TV series after the show went off air in 2007.
Dedicated fans of "Gilmore Girls" have been waiting for more details about the revival of the series.
"I was completely satisfied with these scripts. It's what I hoped it would be," the 48-year old actress said in an interview with TV Line.
Lauren Graham revealed how she felt during her first comeback scene.
"Alexis [Bledel] and I walked onto the set together and -- I feel super emotional about a lot of it and I'm afraid I'm going to start crying at every turn -- but walking onto that set really felt like something," Graham said. "It felt like a lot of time had passed and it felt like we were just there. It felt amazing."
Although many original cast members will be coming back to do the show, it seems like Melissa McCarthy cannot make it to do the reboot.
TV Line reported that McCarthy has been part of the show which is why the creator of "Gilmore Girls" Amy Sherman Palladino wants her back for the show's revival.
"She's really f-ing busy," Palladino said, TV Line reported. "But the thing I have said [to her team] is, 'Look, if Melissa is available and has an afternoon free, I'll write her a scene. Melissa was one of us. If she has a spare moment to run over [to the set] - even if for just a cameo - we would be totally game. And if it's a last-minute thing, I would write her in and we would figure it out. That's the way we left it."
The original cast of the beloved series will be coming back to join Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel including Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Sean Gunn and Keiko Agena. the show will be produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino, Daniel Palladino and Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions.
