Kesha News: Court Trial Delayed, Singer Fears Her Career May Be 'Over' Amidst Battle Against Producer Dr. Luke
Kesha has been making rounds in the headlines as of late alongside her controversial feud with the record producer, Dr. Luke. The news first sparked after the singer-songwriter reportedly filed a lawsuit with sexual abuse charges against the super producer.
"As a young girl in the industry, 18-year old Kesha was extremely susceptible to manipulation, and Dr. Luke was quick to take advantage." as quoted in The Inquisitr.
It added, "While producing Kesha's musical career, the then-32-year-old Dr. Luke reportedly gave her gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and had his way with her while she was unconsious."
The media has kept an eye to the issue and news about the trial have been spurring on the internet with updates as to how the case is going. Since the beginning of the trial, fans of the 28-year old "Take It Off" hit-maker have since been wanting to hear some good news.
However, things are seemingly on the downside as of late, with Kesha informing her supporters that the trial has been postponed until February 19 due to a bad winter weather.
While Kesha tries to appear strong and positive in front of her fans, whom she considers as her source of strength, it has been more than a year already since the lawsuit was filed and reports claimed that she fears her career may be completely "over" if more time passes.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, "Kesha may be barred from releasing new music while she's embroiled in a legal battle with Sony Music and producer Lukasz Gottwalkd (a.k.a Dr. Luke), but that doesn't mean she can't share a cover."
She posted a cover of the hit Christian hym to ask for prayers from her on-and-off social media supporters. Kesha was signed under Dr. Luke's label Kemosabe Records since 2005 and made a breakthrough in her career in 2009 after she made an appearance to Flo Rida's record-breaking single "Right Round."
