Jake Gyllenhaal And Dakota Johnson Dating Rumors Resurface After Actress' Split With Matthew Hitt

Jake Gyllenhaal and Dakota Johnson, who have been linked since 2011, are reportedly rekindling their romance. Though the dating rumors have not been confirmed yet, sources claim that they started dating again after the "50 Shades of Grey" actress parted ways with boyfriend Matthew Hitt.

According to previous reports, Dakota Johson and Hilt dated for several months before before a split in February, but got briefly got back together in May. Apparently, Johnson's steamy scenes with Jamie Dornan was too much for the "Drowners" frontman.

Before the dating rumors resurfaced, Jake Gyllenhaal was said to be acting desperate to win back his alleged ex-girlfriend. Sources claim that the "Southpaw" actor would even send her flowers in a "lovesick" attempt for them to get back together.

"Jake's been chasing after Dakota lately, showering her with flowers and sweet messages in a lovesick attempt to rekindle their relationship," Hollywood Life stated back in March.

Rumors began circling again after the two were reportedly spotted together at an exclusive nightclub in Los Angeles. 

"Jake and Dakota were accompanied at their table by different people throughout the night - including the owner of the bar [that's] so inaccessible to the public that it doesn't even have a name," a source told Radar Online. "They left the venue through separate exits, Johnson out the front and Gyllenhaal via a back door."

Both have kept mum about their reported romance, but the 26-year-old actress confirmed in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres that she was single and not dating anybody.

Dakota Johnson is scheduled to film for for the highly-anticipated sequel,"50 Shades Darker," sometime this year. Meanwhile, Jake Gyllenhaal is set to star in a movie called "Stronger," which is based on the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombing.
