'Orange Is The New Black' Season 4 Spoilers: Bennett Returning For Daya? Dascha Polanco And Matt McGorry Dish Details!
"Orange is the New Black" season 4 spoilers tease Correctional officer John Bennett returning to Litchfield?
The season 4 of "Orange is the New Black" may not be available until July but anticipation over the hit Netflix series has caused many speculations over which cast members are returning and which are not.
This time around, rumors saying the "OITNB" character, prison guard John Bennett (played by Matt McGorry), may be returning to his post in Litchfield prison.
This after he impregnated inmate, Dayanara (Daya) and then left her and the baby behind.
Dascha Polanco, who plays the role of Daya, teased fans on Bennett's fate in an interview with Bustle.
"Bennett coming back? Who knows!" Dascha Polanco said. "When a man leaves you, can we ever tell if they're coming back or not? We never know."
Fans may read into the "Orange is the New Black" actress' somewhat spoiler-y words both ways but Matt McGorry believes there's more to Bennett's character than getting a girl pregnant and bolting.
In an interview with ET Online, McGorry admitted he had mixed feelings about his character's decision to leave.
"I've had mixed feelings about it," the actor said. "We're sort of breaking the romanticized bubble of Daya and Bennett and actually delving into what is maybe the most realistic portrayal -- something that can express the consequences of a relationship between a guard and inmate."
He further explained details about his character in the series.
"I think he really does want to be the hero," he added. "But he doesn't quite have it in him. He talks a little too big of a game, and I think he bites off more than he can chew. And then when it comes down to it, he's intimidated and can't actually follow through."
Recently, another character is rumored to return in "Orange is the New Black" season 4.
Pablo Schreider, who plays the role of George Mendez in the hit Netflix series, shared his thoughts on the possibility of reprising his role.
"I can't tell you anything about whether he's coming back or not," he said. "As of now, he's in prison biding his time."
