'Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir' Release Date: Arrives In North America By June 2016; Now No. 1 In Japan

The release date of "Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir" for the West has been confirmed following its successful debut in Japan.

Atlus announced that the original PlayStation 2 RPG title will be hitting the Western market by June 7, 2016 as a cross-buy title for the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita, IB times reported.

In line with the announcement, Atlus also launched the game's website wherein players may pre-purchase different versions of the game. Also, updates will be posted on "Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir" website.

Meanwhile, the game's release date in Europe is still uncertain.

""Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir" is a total overhaul of the original PS2 game. From completely hand-redrawn graphics and refined gameplay mechanics to optimizations for the release consoles, the game fully encapsulates an artfully elegant tale steeped in Norse mythology with all the makings of a tragic opera," as described by Atlus according to Gematsu.

With its recent release in Japan, the game has received positive feedback from players. In fact, the game's PS Vita and PS4 version tops Japan's bestselling games.

As per PlayStation LifeStyle.net , PS Vita version sold over 43,394 and 42,265 units for the PS4 console.
