'Suicide Squad' Spoilers And Release Date: Cast Jared Leto Scares Crew With 'The Joker'
"Suicide Squad" is one of the most highly anticipated movies this year. Fans have been wondering what Jared Leto's character "The Joker" will be doing to destroy society in the upcoming film.
According to new reports, director David Ayer thinks that Jared Leto would be freaking the audience out with his performance as "The Joker."
"If you're a Batman fan, you have to love/hate the Joker because he's the best nemesis ever," Ayer told USA Today in an interview. "Just to have him on one of my film sets, it was a very memorable thing for me."
The 48-year-old American filmmaker was left in awe with Leto's performance in the upcoming film.
"I love helping actors find what methodology works best for them. It's like tailoring a suit - it's not one size fits all. But it really made an event when he would show up on set," the "Fury" director said. "There was almost a pageantry to him, which did translate into the power on screen he has."
Meanwhile, the director of "Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice" said that Leto has always been committed to his roles in the movie which makes people believe in his character. He also revealed that the cast and crew of the upcoming film kept their distance from the actor because they felt creepy being around him.
"The commitment to the role, you're going to see that really shine through in a way that you're not used to seeing actors in movies really go all the way with [in] every little moment and every little breath," Snyder said. "You're going to get taken on a journey with Jared that I don't know that everyone's ready for but I think it will be amazing."
"The Joker" will have a girlfriend in the story, Harley Quinn played by Margot Robbie.
"Harley is creepy, violent, crazy -- all of the things that I aspire to be," the actress said in an interview. "It's the fun of living vicariously through someone who is doing things that I would never do in real life."
Jared Leto will be joined by the other super villains in "Suicide Squad" including Jai Courtney, Viola Davis, and Will Smith. The movie will premiere in theaters on August 5.
