Charlie Hunnam Not Leading The 'Sons Of Anarchy' Spin Off? Series Creator Teases Mayan Prequel

The spinoff for "Sons Of Anarchy" is on the making, and Charlie Hunnam might not be back to do the sequel to reprise his role.

Speculations have been arising that Charlie Hunnam might not be part of the "Sons Of Anarchy" spinoff as the plot of the story turns around.

According to new reports, the showrunner of the motorcycle gang show Kurt Sutter wants the story to turn back into 1960's which means that Hunnam's role might not be included in the story just yet.

Sutter revealed that he will be focusing the plot to the "First 9" who have founded the SAMCRO and then take the viewers to the life of the Mayans.

Crossmap has recently revealed that Jax Teller's father will be leading the SAMCRO.

"The First 9 were the founding members of SAMCRO. The remaining living founding members wear a patch on their cut that says 'First 9'. John Teller was the founder and President of SAMCRO," Crossmap quoted in a post. "Went head on with a semi truck and still survived two days later until he died. First husband of Gemma Teller Morrow and father of Jackson Teller, Thomas Teller, and Trinity Ashby."

Sutter also told E! Online that he is interested in making a prequel after the spinoff.

"At some point I do have plans to hopefully do the prequel, which I do see as a one-off 10- or 12-episode thing where we begin in Nam and see John Teller and Piney," Sutter said. "And see how that relationship got created, and bring them back to the States and the obvious external dynamics that were going on with the country and the perception of the war and what an odd kind of perception these vets got when they returned home."

Sutter said that the prequel and spinoff will tackle the life of Jax Teller's father, which leaves people thinking if Hunnam could reprise his role in the next season.

"He's [Kurt Sutter]trying to do a prequel, which I would love to see. Kurt is trying to get it going," Hunnam said. "I'm not sure when it would happen though, he's got another TV show he's working on. I don't know if he needs me as a lead actor on that too."
