Robert Knepper (2nd from left) is set to reprise his role in 'Prison Break' season 5

Fox has just officially confirmed the return of "Prison Break" for season 5 as it ordered a full series earlier this week.

According to spoilers, a logical explanation will be served to explain why Wentworth Miller's Michael Scoffield is still alive even if he was killed at the end of the "Final Break" feature film. Apart from the lead character, questions also loom as to who among the cast members are set to return.

Fans of Robert Knepper's Theodore Bagwell will surely be pleased to know that he will still be part of the "Prison Break" season 5 cast.

"As work gets underway on the Prison Break revival, it looks like two more familiar faces could be making a comeback," Express UK reported.

"Stars Sarah Wayne Callies and Robert Knepper are in talks to return for the reboot as Sara Tancredi and T-Bag respectively."

Theodore Bagwell has been in the series for as long as the two main characters, Scofield and Lincoln Burrows played by Dominic Purcell, have been in the show. He was meant to appear only as a guest in season one episode two but the actor's portrayal convinced the directors to promote him as a regular.

For his performance, Knepper earned a Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries nod from Satellite Awards in 2006. Theodore Bagwell was also named by TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly as one of the best television villains.

Robert Knepper also went on to reprise his role in the spinoff series "Breakout Kings."

Fox co-chairman and CEO Dana Walden said "Prison Break" season 5 will be a sequel from where it ended in fourth season.

"I would describe it as a bit of a sequel," she said as reported by TV Line in August last year. "It picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back."

"I don't think [exec producer] Paul [Scheuring] knows exactly where he's going over the 10-episode arc, but it definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience."
