'Ray Donovan' Season 4: Jon Voigt's Mickey Might To Return; Return Release Date Confirmed
Although fans are excited to see "Ray Donovan" return to Showtime, producers are closely keeping details of season 4's release date and plot under lock and key.
Fortunately, several "Ray Donovan's" cast members have no problem in sharing season 4's details ahead of its release date.
Steven Bauer who plays Liev Schreiber's Ray's muscle man, told the The Wrap that he'd love for the show to explore more of Avi's life in Season 4.
"I would love to have a personal life, but if that's not in the cards, that's OK too, " Bauer explained.
Meanwhile, Dash Mihok who plays Bunchy Donovan in the series, said that he would love for his character to work under Ray.
"Liev had this plot line, that I loved, but I don't know if it's gonna happen, the actor said in a separate interview with the publication. "He had this idea that it would be amazing if I came and worked for him. I think there would be a lot of humor and hijinks if Bunchy got to work for Ray."
Meanwhile, many have been speculating that Jon Voigt's Mickey Donovan, who left in the last season's finale, will eventually return in Season 4. Series executive producer and new showrunner David Holland shed light on the topic in an interview with TVLine.
"Absolutely," when asked if Voigt is still part of the show. "I laugh only because that's the easiest part. Mickey always wakes up in a new place, and that place feels permanent until it's not. Boston. Mexico. North Hollywood. And somehow, some way, whatever he is doing, it's going to drag him right back into the heart of Donovan land."
"Ray Donovan" season 4 is expected to premiere by mid-2016, although producers have yet to announce an exact release date.
