Though the release date of "Attack on Titan Season 2" has yet to be confirmed, some spoilers for the upcoming continuation has been provided, including the death of a well-loved major character, according to a report on Movie News Guide.
Testsuo Araki, the director of "Attack on Titan" animated series, has previously announced that the second season of the show will be coming out next year, but no specific date has been dropped yet. A report on KpopStarz said that the delay is most probably caused by the fact that the production crew is still waiting for more chapters of the manga to be finished.
Despite that, fans are kept entertained with spoilers and rumors with regard to what would go down in the much-awaited Season 2, including a major character death, according to Crossmap. The media outlet stated that "Attack on Titan Season 2" will see the death of Captain Levi Ackerman.
According to the same report, Captain Levi's death will result from his attempt to save Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert during a mission which has yet to be named. This piece of information has yet to confirmed.
On the other hand, the second season will also be following Commander Erwin Smith, who would allegedly lose his arm, Latin Times wrote. The details of how he would come to such a circumstance has not been explained in detail, but the report states that Smith would decide to quit the Recon Corps as he believes that he is just a liability to the squad.
Furthermore, Smith is said to be leading a rebellion against the "bogus king" living in the inner wall. In the plot, he will discover that the ruling king is not of royal descent and eventually, it will be revealed that the Reiss family, the same name where Krista Lenz comes from, is the rightful heir to the throne, according to Christian Post.
However, there's a twist. The Reiss family has a dark secret which they keep from the public - the ability to turn into a Titan.
