Manny Pacquiao Next Fight News: Adviser Assures Pacman's Health Condition As Press Tour Starts
The press tour for Manny Pacquiao's next fight has started.
The Filipino boxing icon is currently in Los Angeles for the promotion of Manny Pacquiao - Timothy Bradley III bout, which might need a lot of publicity to entice watchers.
"Pacquiao, also acknowledged as Fighter of the Decade, will head to The Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard where a press conference is scheduled at the Crystal Ballroom tomorrow," a report from Inquirer.net read. "He will be joined by Bradley and their trainers, Freddie Roach and Teddy Atlas, respectively."
After the promotion, both camps are expected to shift to high gear for the training especially Pacman, who is raring to get into the ring again after losing in the "Fight of the Century" against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"He told me that when he gets back from the press tour he will begin training and I think that he will be going to the gym before end of this month," Pacquiao's long-time adviser Michael Koncz said as per Manila Bulletin.
When asked if jet lag will get in the way, Koncz assured it won't.
"No, Manny knows that he has to recover from jet lag and adapt to the new conditions so he won't do that," Koncz said.
Many were not too happy about Manny Pacquiao's next fight with some saying that Pacman could have chosen a more worthy opponent.
Amid his preparation for the fight, many are thinking that Pacman's divided attention might derail his training and that may lead to a defeat. Aside from boxing, Manny Pacquiao is also "busy" with his job as a congressman in the Philippines. He also occasionally tiptoes in professional basketball.
Manny Pacquiao already said that his next fight against Timothy Bradley will be his last as he will focus on his senatorial bid for the coming elections in the Philippines scheduled this May.
Several weeks ago, the 37-year old assured fans that he will give a good fight. He also said he wants nothing but knockout against Bradley.
"He can [only] be Timothy Bradley. I know his style," he told Rappler.
"I'm trying to have a knockout in that fight. I'm not saying to predict the fight, but I'm trying to do my best so the people enjoy my last fight."
