According to a report from People, speculations about John Travolta making a big-screen comeback were fueled after he spoke up about the death of veteran music mogul Robert Stigwood.

The music entrepreneur passed away earlier this January at the age of 81. He produced the actor's breakthrough movies "Saturday Night Fever" and "Grease."

The 61-year-old actor issued a statement soon after Stigwood's passing. The tribute spoke about how he became the movie star that his is now primarily because of the music icon's dedication to him.

"Robert was certainly important to my career," he said. "He changed the world only for the better. His legacy lives on and he will forever be remembered."

Some hope that the passing of Stigwood would influence John Travolta to make movies again, as recent rumors about his sexuality and marriage have somewhat forced him to lie-low on his career.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry previously reported about the actor's alleged gay affairs, which reportedly almost led to his divorce with wife Kelly Preston.

The Hollywood power couple were rumored to be separating after the "Pulp Fiction" star was photographed without his wedding ring on several occasions.

"I think John finally took off his ring because he is tired of living a lie," a source explained. "John and Kelly are unhappy in the marriage, and they have been pretty much living separate lives for years."
