Samsung Galaxy S7 Reportedly Passes AnTuTu Benchmark Test With Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor Under Its Hood

It can be recalled in various reports last year that the new Samsung Galaxy S7 will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor in some regions as well the Samsung Exynos 8890 SoC, the company's recently-developed processor.

According to a feature by Gadgets 360, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy model has reportedly passed the AnTuTu benchmark test with a Snapdragon 820 SoC on board.

The smartphone's 5.1-inch display is will be used in one of the three rumored variants of Galaxy S7.

Meanwhile, the SM-G935A model will also feature the Adreno 530 GPU and will be packed with a three gb RAM. Its will reportedly boot up with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system, as shown in the benchmark test result.

The Galaxy S7 will also come with 64 gb of built-in storage. The company, however, has kept silent with regard to the availability of a microSD card expansion.

The camera for the Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a 12-megapixel Britecell sensor, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Its new camera technology is said to have a wider and more dynamic range, and can perform better under low-light situations compared to other handsets in the market today. 

In November, Tech Times released a report on the Samsung Galaxy S7's commercial launch tipped for February. Two variants are expected to be introduced by that time, one of which will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and the second will use an Exynos 8890 (M1) SoC.

Rumors also suggested that the Galaxy Edge might sport a 5.5-inch curved display with QHD resolution.
