South Korean top model Jung Ho Yeon got all it takes to take over any runway, even the world-renowned New York Fashion Week.

The 22-year-old fashion model with a gifted physique and a very positive outlook in life have been working hard to perfect her supermodel gait and win the hearts of her supporters. Jung started her career six years ago as freelance model with just so much to learn about the cunning fashion industry.

Without an agency to handle and represent her in cast meetings with fashion designers, she managed to connect with them by distributing her profile photos and contact number. This strategy landed her in an average of three to four shows at Seoul Fashion Week for two years. Now, she is about to grace the catwalk of one of the world's most anticipated fashion event.

"I was only proud of myself that I made it to the catwalk on the country's top fashion stages among many models," Jung told The Korea Times while preparing for New York Fashion Show this year. She added that no matter how big or small the project is, she has worked indiscriminately to build her career in the industry so that when opportunity knocks, she can grab firmly onto it. She also recalls of doing photo shoots for fashion brand catalogues and participating in graduation shows for fashion colleges.

The young aspiring model soon tried her luck by auditioning for one of the country's top fashion agencies, ESteem, after which she immediately signed a contract.

Jung was born and raised in a small town on the outskirts of Seoul called Myeonmok-dong. The 22-year-old talent started modeling roughly six years ago. She told Vogue in an interview that she thought of modeling as something she would do for a living since she has the height and the physique apt for the catwalk.

Jung soon got very comfortable gracing the catwalk as she would walk an average of 10 shows at the biannual Seoul Fashion Week at 2013. She then tried to step out of comfort zone by appearing on OnStyle's popular fashion reality show "Korea's Next Top Model 4." The show features new and young aspiring models in South Korea.

According to Jung, she applied for "Korea's Next Top Model 2" when she was still a freelance model, but left the show after making it to the top 30. She said that "it left a resentment in her heart." Despite not being able to get the grand title's nod, Jung persevered and she has since appeared in various covers of popular fashion magazines such as Vogue and W.

Today, Jung's next big leap is into the international fashion scene in New York. The young and confident runway sweetheart shared that she hopes to make a breakthrough into the international stage as fast as possible.
