Frank Ocean's Album 'Boys Don't Cry' Still Not Ready For Release; Singer Set For A New Collaboration?
The official release date of Frank Ocean's new album "Boys Don't Cry" has not been disclosed yet; and while he keeps his fans on the lookout for his new material, a new report claimed that he would be working on a new collaboration.
It has been nearly a year since the singer announced that "Boys Don't Cry" would be arriving soon, but he seems to be silent about the new album. Earlier reports noted that Frank Ocean will drop his album some time in 2016, but the fans aren't sure if the updates are confirmed since it didn't come directly from him.
Amidst the delay, a new update about Ocean's highly anticipated album has recently made rounds in the headlines, which claimed that he's finishing things in his new album with his new collaborator Rich the Kid.
According to Gigwise, Frank Ocean and Rich the Kid headed to the studio together on January 7, as confirmed by one source, which fuelled speculations that the two are working things out for the album.
Reports also claimed that the speculations about their collaboration first sparked after Rich the Kid posted a screenshot of him and Frank Ocean FaceTiming, which he reportedly removed later on.
After deleting his post, the Woodstock rapper has continued to drop hints about the new album "Boys Don't Cry," adding that he allegedly kept re-tweeting "new stories" about their team up and later sent a tweet to Complex, wherein he wrote briefly "Hope y'all ready."
While the two artists have not confirmed as to whether or not they were recording the album, fans are getting their hopes up that the official release date will be announced anytime soon.
Frank Ocean's new album "Boys Don't Cry" is his fifth studio album next to "Lonny Breaux Pt. 1" that was released in 2014.
